Lemon Bars


Ingredients:

  1. 1 ½ cup flour

  2. ¾ cup butter, softened

  3. 3/8 cup powdered sugar

  4. 3 well beaten eggs

  5. 1 ½ cup sugar, added gradually

  6. 4 ½ Tbsp. lemon juice

  7. 3 Tbsp. flour

  8. ¾ tsp. baking powder

Instructions:

  1. Heat oven to 325°F.

  2. Grease a cake pan. We recommend wiping it with butter and dusting it with flour.

  3. Mix first three ingredients. Once blended, place into your cake pan. You are creating the crust. Use your fingers to press down so that the surface is even and smooth then bake for 18-20 minutes.

  4. Once your crust has slightly browned, remove from the oven and heat the oven to 350°F and proceed with the filling.

  5. Mix the remaining ingredients together until well combined then pour into your cake pan on top of the crust.

  6. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 325°F if the bars brown too quickly. The bars are finished once a tooth pick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out fairly clean.

  7. Place into the refrigerator until cool. It is most refreshing when served cold!

  8. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
